Shipping Method by Product

There can be a specific shipping method associated with a product however because more than one product can be in the cart, the split shipping/split order functionality has to be used as there can only be one ship method per order. This functionality is for bootstrap only. There is no manual address entry in default split shipping however an address can be added on the split shipping page and will appear in the list right away. If users are set to use manual address then it is recommended that alternate shipping be used. When set up correctly, the product that is connected to a shipping group will mean that the user will only see the shipping method(s) associated with that product shipping group. 


To set up;


Go to the Company Shipping page.


Click on Shipping Groups.



Add New Group.



Click on Link Groups to Products.


From there, select the products then use the Shipping Product Groups drop down to select the shipping group for the selected products.


Note: Products can be linked to shipping groups in the product itself in product advanced. 



Go back to the Shipping Method details. There are Shipping Group checkboxes. Select the shipping group(s) for the method and update/insert. 



Go to Company Advanced - Order Related section. 


Use the checkboxes for Split Shipping, Force Split Shipping, Allow Shipping Address selection by Job and Allow Shipping Method selection by Job.


Note: When using the Alternate Shipping setting, only Split Shipping and Force Split Shipping need to be enabled.
