STATIONS
Stations allows the producer to manage the individual parts/tasks (we call them stations) of a job. As well a producer can as assign different tasks/stations to different employees. When they only the stations that pertain to him. When updating a task the job will be moved to the next station. In the image below the producer is looking at all the jobs in a specific station. From this page you can update multiple jobs at a time and move them to the next station.
Please note: Stations is only available to certain Go ePower levels. Contact Go ePower support to enable Stations.
Terms:
Station: The actual Production Station, like Cutting, Printing, Laminating Stations.
Station Group: A number of Stations grouped together (currently not enforced and can be ignored).
Assembly: A collection of Stations that can be assigned to a Product (or Job).
Staff: A new Production Role, users with this Role can view jobs in Stations and advance them.
Process: Move jobs from one station to the next in the assembly.
Setup Details
To set up your stations Go to Manage Producer -> Options -> Stations. (Will only be viewed if enabled.)
Station: Each station has a Name, Description and Color Code. It can be associated with a Group. (In the future Description will be used to display to the customer, if desired.)
Assembly: Each Assembly has a Name and Color Code. A set of Stations are to be associated with each Assembly, the order of these stations is important as it will control the Move to Next station action. First create your assembly name. Then click on the icon to the left of that new assembly name you just created and select the relevant stations. When all the stations are inserted click on the save button.
Staff: Staff user is created from existing users of Staff Roles only. A title can be associated with each Staff entry. A Staff user can do one of the following:
i. Browse Only (always available)
ii. Forward Only (in addition to Browse)
iii. Any Direction (in addition to Browse)
The image below is what the staff sees when he logs in. Only the Stations sections. The staff role can see all stations but can only move jobs in the stations set in this section.
Settings (Company Level):
i. Assigning method can be set by Product, Type or Group.
ii. Job Assignment in Production can be deactivated
Type: Assign Assemblies based on Product Type (Xmpie, Blocks..). Assigned when Product is first created. Takes its value from the Producer's Product Type - Assembly setup.
Group: Assign Assemblies based on Production Groups. Assigned when the product is put in a Production group.
Product: Assign Assemblies product by product. Assigned when creating the product, the value would be one for all new products.
Action: Set default action when processing jobs
i. On Stations Complete Set Status to: Select one of the standard Order Statuses
ii. On Station First Action Set Status to: Select one of the standard Order Statuses (only changed when Order Status is Released otherwise it will not attempt to change Producer update)
Backend - Stations
- Jobs filtered by Stations.
- Unassigned Jobs can also be displayed.
- Any number of jobs can be selected and advanced to the Next station (displayed in the Job row)
- Assemblies can be assigned to unassigned jobs at this stage. This option is available based on Company Settings of the user.
- Job Assignment can be removed. Assemblies and Stations reset.
- Moving unassigned job to the next station will mark it as completed.
Backend - Order Detail
- Stations can also be advanced on this page, one job at a time.

- Current and Next Stations are displayed
- Move to Next Station option is available
- Assigning Assembly is also available
Stations Workflow
- SETUP
- Go to Manage Producer / Stations
- Add all available stations
- Create Assemblies base on the stations
- Create Staff Users to process jobs (can be skipped as a user with Producer level have all the rights)
- Assign Products to Assemblies
- PRODUCTION
- Click the Stations Button on Top (next to the Production button).
- Select station from the dropdown list.
- Select jobs then click Move to Next Station button when leaving the station.
