Assemble Product

This product allows users to upload multiple files and/or select files from a folder on the server. The files can be previewed in PDF format as one document.

In addition, once the pages are uploaded, they can be reordered and have services attached to them for items such as selecting a different stock for a cover.

To create an assembly product:


1. select Manage products, company products and click add new product

2. Name the product and write a description (Optional). for product type choose assemble, click save.

3. Once created you click the design icon in the top left corner




4. Select input type

  • upload only
  • Select only
  • upload and select


5. Select Path: we using select as an input type you can choose personal (default) if the files are in the users personal assets, Company if you want them to choose from the company assets or you if you choose to put them in company resources you will need to put the path to the folder, this method allows you to give the user access to multiple folders. 


6. the system measures the files that are uploaded, here you can choose what units you want them measured in,


7. Page width and height:


If set greater than zero then the preview will shrink the documents to size proportionally. No attempt is made to scale the documents up if they are smaller than the set size, they will be placed in the middle of the page.


8. Allowed file types: If restricting allowed files input the type of files allowed, leave empty if there is not restriction


9. Services: Services can be chosen for each file uploaded ie cover stock for uploaded cover vs regular stock

If you want services to apply to the entire job use Options/product services


10 Display Method: how you want the files displayed once uploaded


11. If thumbnail is chosen for Display method you can decide on the size of the thumbnail


12. Assumed pages: 0 if you want the system to count the number of pages in a file, 1 or higher if you don't want the pages counted
