Static Documents
Static documents, as their name implies, consist of fixed contents. Since they include no dynamic objects, these documents cannot altered to reflect each recipient’s data. Instead, all recipients of a static document get identical instances of this product. Customers can upload static jobs to be printed directly for their computers for one time printing (see user help files) or static products can be stored in the system if the job is ordered repeatedly by a user of a company or multiple users of a company.
Dynamic Documents
Dynamic documents contain dynamic objects and can therefore be adapted to each customer’s and recipient’s needs. This is done using two different processes: customization and personalization. To add dynamic documents to your company and setup their properties, it is important to understand what each process entails and make the distinction between the two.
Customization is a process that reflects the Customer’s input. It is performed on Objects and Variables that are included in a dynamic document and are made available to Go ePower. Customers can manually specify fixed values for these Objects and the specified values are common to all dynamic document instances of an order. For example, a customer may customize a dynamic newsletter by specifying the logo and contact details to be displayed on all newsletter copies (regardless of their recipients).
Personalization is a process that reflects the recipient’s data. It is performed on Objects and Variables that are included in the dynamic document. These dynamic objects are automatically populated with recipient-specific values, which are unique to each dynamic document instance. For example, a customer may personalize a dynamic newsletter by uploading a Recipient List that contains the first and last name, address, etc. for each recipient.
Unlike static documents, dynamic documents can only be created using XMPie, or PDF Blocks.
Associate
Associate products are used when a static product has different variations or versions. This allows the user to choose the colour and other options.
Note: there are no inventory capabilities for associate products see Static Master for options
Assemble
The assemble product allows a customer to upload different files, select different sets of options for each uploaded file and preview. for example file 1 could be the cover of a book the user could select cover stock for that file and then regular stock for the next file uploaded
Estimate
Estimate products are used when customers want to get pricing for the products they are uploading. Estimate products display pricing for each service requested by the customers.
Estimate Master

Form
Form products are used to customize products and to collect extra data from customers. Forms products allow producers to create customized fields and can associate each field with pricing.
Proof
Proofs products are used when a proof of a job is required prior to ordering. it create a dialogue between customer and producer that is stored for future reference. Once the customer is satisfied with they proof they can check out the product and it will join the workflow, quote product can also be linked to proof product so when a customer request a quote the quote will convert to proof allowing the customer to purchase the same way
Upload
Upload products are used when a file is uploaded with the product. (Replaced by Assemble Product in bootstrap).
Quote
Quote products are used to allow Users to customize products and to send extra data to Producers Allowing Producers to provide a quote back to the Users. Quotes can then be converted to a proof product so the customer can accept the quote and order.
Static Master

XMPie
Go ePower uses XMPie technology for some of its variable documents. These products are used when a product design requires layering or is database driven
PDFLib Blocks
PDFlib supports a template-driven PDF workflow for variable data processing. Using the concept of blocks, imported pages can be populated with variable amounts of single- or multi-line text, images, or PDF graphics which can be pulled from an external source. This can be used to easily implement applications which require customized PDF documents.
Blocks Master
Used to house blocks products as sub products, these products can be selected using a dropdown to allow for different designs to be selected in one product IE option could be horizontal or vertical variation selected
