Instructions For Sending Email From Go Epower On Your Behalf

Modified on Wed, Jan 17 at 4:35 PM

If you want to use your own SMTP server for sending email then the below is not necessary and you can fill in the settings in Manage Producer > Options > Mail Sever Settings.

DKIM and DMARC are DNS-based email authentication mechanisms that helps Mandrill more effectively send mail on your behalf by allowing receivers to verify that we have permission to send your email. Setup is required at your Domain.

DKIM

Create two CNAME records: one with the name mte1._domainkey.yourdomain.com with the value dkim1.mandrillapp.com and another with the name mte2._domainkey.yourdomain.com and the value dkim2.mandrillapp.com

Replace yourdomain.com with the domain you're setting up.

DMARC

Create and save a TXT record in your DNS with a name of _dmarc.yourdomain.com and a value of v=DMARC1; p=none

Some domain hosts automatically add yourdomain.com after the initial value. Contact your domain provider for any specifics.

After that is done then let us know as we have to verify this in Mandrill. If DKIM and SPF are good then we have to send a verification email from mandrill to any email address at the domain. We will need that verification email forwarded to us.

We also have to add the exact email address to our rules for sending mail so you will have to let us know what that is.

After that we have to change a setting in our admin that gives you the ability to set your own email addresses on the company email settings page.. You can use either the email address that is set in the producer setting or the company email address.

If you want to use your own STMP for sending email then the above is not necessary and you can fill in the settings in Manage Producer > Options > Mail Sever Settings.
